When will the Nürburgring open for the 2025 Touristenfahrten season?
In 2025, the Nürburgring will open to the public for tourist driving sessions (Touristenfahrten) from March 8th until the end of November, depending on weather conditions and other factors.
It is worth noting that, from the 20th of February 2025, the circuit management has banned motorcycle access during public tourist sessions (Touristenfahrten).

Is the Nürburgring open to the public?
Yes, the Nürburgring is open to the public on certain dates for the so called TF (Touristenfahrten) sessions. The Nordschleife offers public sessions known as “Touristenfahrten,” where anyone with a suitable vehicle can take their car or rental car for a spin and experience the thrills of this legendary track. Below are some details about the opening to the public of both Nürburgring circuits:
Nordschleife (Northern Loop): In 2025, it will be open from March 8th to mid-November. The closing date will depend primarily on the weather and scheduled events.
Nürburgring GP (GP-Strecke): Also available on certain dates, but with more limitations due to the official events and competitions held on this circuit. You can see the 2025 Nürburgring GP schedule here.
Newly enforced motorcycle restrictions: Starting February 20, 2025, motorcycles will no longer be allowed to run on the Nordschleife’s tourist days (Touristenfahrten).

What is Touristenfahrten?
Touristenfahrten, or “Tourist Drives,” is a unique tradition at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. During these sessions, the public can legally drive on one of the most famous racetracks in the world, using anything from specialised rental hot hatches to supercars or their own daily drivers. In 2025 the prices for accessing the track during TF sessions is 30€ per lap from Monday to Thursday and 35€ per lap Friday to Sunday & local holidays. You also have the oprion of the season pass card with unlimited laps at the cost of 3.000€.
